HIGHASAKITE Unveil Gorgeous New Video for ‘5 Million Miles’
Highasakite’s most recent single, 5 Million Miles is a forgiving turn after the haunting torment on their previous Camp Echo.

The band recently added visuals to the pop-centred dream and the video is a perfect compliment to Highasakite’s avant-garde aesthetic.
Playing with lights and contrasts, the video shows lead singer, Ingrid Helene Håvik’s 5 million miles journey, in the most cinematically pleasing way. The stark colours and red to blue contrasts draw allusions to the work of Danish director Nicolas Refn Winding, though the camera dynamic and framing is more of a modern classic in music video making.
Speaking on the video making Ingrid said:
The shoot took about two days. Two very long days – we weren’t finished until 4am on the last day. We were shooting in and around Oslo, and the tunnel shots were about an hour out of the city in a place called Gran. I haven’t worked with a production team that large before. There were so many people involved, and it was quite scary at first. I had a really great stylist that’s called Afaf Ali. I work with her as often as I can. I remember that I worked with a crow once in a previous video, but that horse was amazing. It was so huge, but still very calm and kind.
With a production that huge it may not be that surprising that the video is absolutely stunning, so check it out. What’s more, it was filmed entirely by an in-car camera.
