Parquet Courts have a brand new song and clip that will brighten up everyone’s mundane Monday and may have you pumped, even dance a little? 

Wide Awake is the new ripper of a track and it has the members of the band in necessary purple suits dancing around New Orleans during Mardi Gras. It is taken from Parquet Courts‘ new album Wide Awake!, out 18th May on Rough Trade Records.

Directed by Brother Willis, the video harnesses the bombastic guitars, rousing drums and sultry bass perfectly.

Brother Willis explains:

I was very intrigued by the band’s idea to spend a few days filming all around New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Probably should’ve thought twice about it, but we all came out the other side changed people and with a video (or more?) in our collective pocket.
