WHENYOUNG Unveil Self-Directed Video for ‘Heaven On Earth’
whenyoung have released new video for their latest single Heaven On Earth that is pretty sinful.
Directed by frontwoam Aoife Power herself, the clip for Heaven On Earth takes us through the seven deadly sins as we see the band explore facets such as greed and vanity before eventually turning demonic. Exploding with colour and textures, the video is full of energy and goes with the track completely.
whenyoung explain:
‘Heaven On Earth’ is our take on the idiom “one man’s meat is another man’s poison”. The song describes how one person’s idea of heaven is another person’s idea of hell. The video was inspired by the unfinished film L’Enfer by Henri-Georges Clouzot which is based on Dante’s Inferno. We were really impressed by the experimental cinematography used in this film and wanted to borrow some of the effects used.
As they have been touring with the likes of Nick Cave and Dream Wife, the band packed their summer with festivals including Truck and Latitude.
