Cigarette Lighter is the latest track from South Londoner Mellah.

Mellah aka Liam Ramsden has released visuals for Cigarette Lighter under the blue light haze that is our beloved phones.

Directed by Storma Cairns, the clip highlights social media obsession, a theme which runs through the song’s lyrics. We see a scene that plenty of performers I’m sure can relate to.

Liam explains:

The song is about the growing divide between people’s political opinions and the way social media seems to be accentuating this. The video shows an audience attending a performance but not engaging with the performer as they are engrossed in the echo chamber within their phones.

This track comes from Mellah’s forthcoming EP Middle England which will be released on July 6th via Columbia Records.
