STAND ATLANTIC Announce Debut Album ‘Skinny Dipping’
Stand Atlantic treat us to the first taste of their debut album in the form of Lavender Bones.
The Australian trio Stand Atlantic bring out a new single and video in the form of Lavender Bones.
Sharing emotional truths through catchy melodies, it’s a pop-punk banger that is sure to carry you through hard times but also get you jumping along to it. Between outstanding vocals and upbeat instrumentals, there’s an electrifying energy to the track that will capture all of your attention for three minutes of pop-punk heaven. You won’t be able to help but sing along to “I can cover it up” every time it’s repeated, and a soaring chorus truly lifts this track to a whole new level.
The video matches the vibrancy of the track, as it follows the narrative of vocalist and guitarist Bonnie Fraser, as she breaks free from a mind-control programme to cover a blank room in hues of blue, yellow, and pink. Representing a freedom from suppressed emotions, it complements the free-spirited message of the track.
Lavender Bones is lifted from Stand Atlantic’s upcoming debut album, Skinny Dipping, which will be released on October 26th via Hopeless Records.
Speaking about the record, Fraser explains:
Skinny dipping can be seen as an innocent thing you do for fun. But at the same time, you’re naked and vulnerable and exposing yourself to anything in there. There are things in life I sometimes feel are either unimportant or something I shouldn’t be talking about. It can be so isolating to be truly honest, but to have people accept you is so freeing.
