CHLÖE HOWL Unveils New Single ‘Work’
Chlöe Howl is here to Work.
Delivering hands-in-the-air upbeat sass and R&B infused pop all at once, Chlöe Howl releases self-assured new track Work.
Apparently being nominated for BBC’s ‘Sound of’ poll and BRIT’S ‘Critics’ Choice’ award doesn’t exempt you from the mundanity of disappointing dating rituals.
Speaking of the influence for the track, she claims:
I wrote this after watching so many of my incredible friends deal with substandard romances. It’s kind of a reminder to myself and hopefully others that we don’t owe anybody our time or attention – they have to work for it. I hope people listen to it, feel like they’re the shit and leave that loser on read.
Work sounds like it could be from the top end of Jess Glynne’s back-catalogue, with distinctive, commanding vocals. The track is produced by long-time collaborator Chris Zane, who has also worked with Passion Pit and St Lucia. Howl returned to music with her critically acclaimed single Magnetic in 2017, after a 3-year hiatus and is currently in the studio working on her brand new album.
