Architects are back with a further taste of their upcoming album, Holy Hell, which is set to be released on November 9th.

Architects 2018

The countdown for the newest Architects album is well and truly on, as they release Modern Misery, the third single to be lifted from the album. Full of smashing riffs and hard-hitting lyrics, it follows the brutality of the previous two tracks and you’ll be left with many thoughts in your head.

Holding back nothing, a combination of Sam Carter’s screams and the emotive lyricism will leave you reeling as drums pound into you. Sonic lines weave between brutal walls of instrumentals and slamming riffs, creating an energetic attack that will please even the harshest critic.

The visuals portray every ounce of emotion, as distressed and tormented Sam performs the track – although, you can’t blame him for feeling that way considering he has an arrow stuck in his chest. Nodding to the title of the track and the line “We’re buried by modern misery”, there’s a particularly striking moment when drummer Dan Searle and bassist Ali Dean are sitting at the dinner table and Dan suffocates, yet all Ali does is passively take a picture of the scene. Leaving it open for interpretation, the video is sure to open up dialogue about modern society, especially modern technology.

The band will be doing two intimate in-store signings in Kingston and Brighton, on November 9th and November 10th respectively. They will also head out on their biggest headline tour early next year, catch them at the following dates.
