Hotly-tipped band of the moment Calva Louise take to the stage at The Garage in support of The Blinders this evening.

If you haven’t heard of them yet, you must be living under the biggest rock in the whole of the music industry. Their scuzzy garage rock oozes with everything from punk influences to pop sensibilities, ensuring there’s never a dull moment. Lead singer Jess Allanic bounces around stage like a wound-up toy, screaming anthems such as Outrageous and I Heard A Cry down the mic with fiery passion to match that of early day Courtney Love. With a small but impressive back catalogue and a rapidly growing army of fans, it won’t be long before Calva Louise headline this stage themselves.
