LADY BIRD Unveil New Track ‘Reprisal’
Bringing a political kick, post punkers Lady Bird share new track and video for Reprisal.

Kent’s punk trio Lady Bird are certainly resembling their namesake in their ability to create soaring riffs and continue their upward trajectory of success. With their newest single Reprisal, it is sure to see the band continue in this direction as they make astute social commentary with their witty lyrics, laced with an edge of politics.
Exploring the topic of power struggle between official law and orders and its citizens they are meant to protect, the track draw upon the human fundamentals that unite them. Frontman Sam Cox explains:
Reprisal suggests that perhaps we’re not shackled to our behavioural tendencies…vulnerable geezers on both sides of the law are united in their struggle.
Pounding drums and cut-throat riffs deliver the message strongly, whilst Sam’s magnetic vocals allure you in with protesting chorus which is made for sing-alongs. The video follows the band out of the city, into their hometown of Tunbridge Wells. Self-directed by the band, it sees them showing the class struggles in a raucous energy. Matching the vibrancy of the track, the visuals convey all the dynamics of the band.
The band have a whole slew of live dates coming up, be sure that you go and catch them at one.
