ALMA Shares New Single ‘Summer’
Laid-back beats and heart-on-sleeve lyricism will make the newest track from ALMA resonate with you.

Finnish pop songstress ALMA might just leave you tender and bruised with her delicate new single Summer. The track is the third to be taken from her upcoming album Have You Seen Her?, which is set for release on April 5th.
Blending hints of hip-hop into her raw take on pop music, her vulnerability on the track is sure to chime with listeners as she delves into the topic of seasonal depression. You’ll be lulled into a trance by ALMA’s stunning vocals and the looping beats, which hypnotise you alongside the evocative electronics.
The lyric video for the track sees the birth of ‘Cyber Alma’, an avatar to represent the songstress and is set to become a mainstay in her world. Crafted by the artist, the avatar came as a response to feelings of frustration with the public life being too invasive, allowing ALMA to escape and control the unveiling of herself on social media.
Explaining the track, ALMA says:
Every winter lots of people get depressed because of the cold and the darkness – it’s called seasonal affective disorder / winter depression! Lots of Finnish people have this. I wrote this song in LA – it was my first day there and I was jet-lagged but I remember I was still feeling alive and just happy – probably because of the sun! My relationship wasn’t doing great at that time, I was stressed and depressed so I wrote this song to my girlfriend…I think we’re all better humans in the summertime!
