Live: THE WONDER YEARS // Troxy, London
In a pop punk line-up that many could have only dreamed of, The Wonder Years took to the stage at Troxy as co-headliners with Mayday Parade.
Less than a year after the release of their sixth album Sister Cities, they returned to London for the second time, having previously sold out two consecutive nights at the Islington Academy last year.
It was immediately clear that the show would be one to remember, regardless of how familiar you were with the band. The energy was palpable as frontman Dan ‘Soupy’ Campbell belted out heartfelt lyrics, often leaning into the crowd as if to project his enthusiasm further. While the set featured numerous tracks from their new record, they decided to end with a strong trio of old favourites Cardinals, Cigarettes & Saints, and Came Out Swinging, and we relished every minute of it.
