FRANK IERO Returns with New Single ‘Young And Doomed’
The My Chemical Romance guitarist has formed yet another band, Frank Iero and The Future Violents, and released his latest single Young And Doomed, off his new album Barriers.
After the breakup of My Chem, Frank Iero has been busy with several musical projects. Most notably, he has formed his own band under different names, starting with frnkiero andthe cellabration through Frank Iero and The Patience and eventually settling on Frank Iero and The Future Violents. With that, Barriers will be the first album released under that name, and so yet another era for Iero.
Frank himself never expected to be so ambitious about his solo projects:
Every time I start a new record, I say to myself ‘This is it. This is the end. This is the last one.’ It got me thinking about how we set up these obstacles around ourselves. Sometimes they’re for protection and sometimes they’re to keep people out, and sometimes we even set them up so that we fail and we find solace in that failure. But whenever I find something that scares the shit out of me, that’s when I know I have to do it!
It seems so that the album will focus on breaking barriers (as the name might suggest) and will be a redirection of his musical path so far. It seems only fitting that it would include a new name. At least Young And Doomed sounds promising!
Barriers is set for release on May 31st via UNFD.
Frank Iero and The Future Violents will play 2000trees in the UK on July 13th.
