YOURS TRULY Release Video for New Single ‘I Can’t Feel’

Just three weeks prior to the release of their new EP, Afterglow, the Sydney quartet have unveiled a brand new video for I Can’t Feel, following two other acclaimed singles.

Yours Truly 2019

Your Truly have garnered a lot of attention since their debut EP Too Late For Apologies, sharing their most popular singles to date in support of their newest release. Debut single High Hopes has racked up nearly 1.5 million streams on Spotify and their new track will undoubtedly create more buzz for the EP.

I Can’t Feel details frontwoman Mikaila Delgado’s experience with a tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, or EDS for short. The often invisible syndrome comes with chronic pain and loose joints, something Delgado tries to convey in both her lyrics and music video. As she puts it:

When I found heavy music on YouTube I just knew this was what I wanted to do. I knew it wouldn’t be easy to perform at that level but I wasn’t going to let something I was born with stop me… I was too obsessed with this idea of singing in a band and touring the world that the consequences became irrelevant. This song is really special to me because I’ve always found it hard to explain the way I feel – what other people can’t see. Putting it in a song allowed me to say the things I’ve wanted to say for the past 21 years.

The video shows Mikaila grabbing at her joints, frustrated with the pain, while a voodoo doll of herself is suffering abuse. At the end, she’s seen regaining control. It’s a testament to her not giving up on following her dream, despite the pain she suffers.

We’re excited to see Yours Truly come to the UK for their appearance at Download Festival from June 14th to 16th in Donington Park.
