PREMIERE // NAKED NEXT DOOR Share New Video for ‘Fade’

Candid and unfiltered, the newest video from indie quartet Naked Next Door offers a glimpse into the more intimate workings of the band.

Naked Next Door 2019

Milton Keynes four-piece Naked Next Door offered us the first glimpse into their upcoming debut EP when they released Fade, and now we’ve received the visuals to feel an even more pronounced impact from the track. It sets an honest tone and breaks down all barriers between the listener and the band as they delve into their own feelings and experiences, recounting tales that are simultaneously intimate and universal in their nature. A hooking melody captures your interest before impassioned vocals command your full attention, and all of the elements combined create a potent force that’s sure to leave the track lingering long in your memory, even after the last note has faded.

Equally poignant as the track, the matching visuals see the band delivering a heartfelt performance of the track. Although it may be simplistic in concept, with a black and white aesthetic further adding to the minimalistic feel, the impact is profound as viewers watch the way the band bounces off each other whilst playing together.

Speaking about the track, frontman Euan Emerton says:

The song’s about a number of things: the feeling that you spend each day stressing out and trying to do the right thing all of the time, but this is about how you feel when you forget it all and stop caring about whether it’s the right decision and just do something because sometimes it gets too much– it’s that deep breath out at the end of the worst day.
