DIIV Release Video for New Track ‘Blankenship’
To complement their most recent singles Taker and Skin Game, DIIV are reaching for the magic number with their choice in releasing a new single, and putting the three together for their first new music since their 2016 album, Is The Is Are.

Blankenship is a bleak and atmospheric take on DIIV’s unique style of rock music. Opening with a rattlingly simple yet evocative bass line, the song quickly gets you scurrying to vocals that are sombre and seem to look outward at our ever-growingly pessimistic future – “a paradise on fire / I guess it’s all the way Blankenship / children lead the cry / you sold them all away Blankenship / 30 years of lies” – the song erupts and withers at unexpected intervals in signature DIIV fashion.
As well as the new single, the band have announced a UK tour for February 2020 in support of their upcoming album Deceiver, which will be released on October 4th via Captured Tracks.
