Full of charm and palpable excitement, gabriel black truly wowed the London crowd as he took to the stage at O2 Academy Brixton last week.

Following the recent release of his new EP, help me, i’m flying, gabriel’s set was a great chance to introduce his brand new material to a whole new audience. Drawing influences from indie to rock, emo, and hip hop, his eclectic approach truly makes him stand out on the current music scene, and his live performances elevate this status to new heights.

Packing a punch with fresh energy and swagger, gabriel jumped from one side of the stage to the other, engaging with the crowd at all times. An unfiltered cut, fuck up tantalised with gritty guitars and thumping beats, whilst blue skies charmed with its laid-back vibes and warm vocals. Soaring with groovy bass lines and singalong choruses, deeply-personal sad boy took it down a notch, before gabriel brought phem on stage for their collaborative effort, dead yet, which went down as an absolute hit.

Topping his set off with moody pine trees, gabriel black proved himself to be an intriguing artist, effortlessly translating his unique style into a live setting. The hype is real, and we’re definitely staying for it.
