Live: DUNE RATS // The Garage, London
The Australian rockers Dune Rats were a long way from home, nevertheless they smashed their headline show at The Garage.
Accompanied by the sound of I Get Knocked Down coming out the speakers, Dune Rats took to the stage with grins from ear to ear, endless drinks and a swinging baby doll. Kicking off the show with Bullshit, Six Pack and Demolition Derby, from the get-go it was clear that everyone was in for a crazy night.
Dune Rats have made a big name for themselves back home and tonight proved that was a lot to do with their down to earth playful personalities. Their fans have just the same humorous side to them with a crowd full of different characters like a group wearing pizza shirts, a guy crowd surfing just wearing a Christmas hat and his pants, and three guys all wearing banana costumes.
Dunies (self-made nickname) made sure to have a true connection with the crowd, bringing fans onto the stage, one fan downing a pint with them to all the bananas singing a song. This was a midweek gig, but you wouldn’t have believed it, all throughout the night there was no signs of slowing down from anyone. They ended the night with Scott Green and by this point not one person wasn’t joining in with them in one way or another.
This is a band that really wears their personality on their sleeves, bringing all the fun along. We can’t wait to hear and see more from them soon.
