Remember Jones is a pop-funk queer singer, powerhouse performer and engaging storyteller. Channelling the musical inspirations of funk band Jamiroquai, androgynous singer-songwriter Sylvester and Prince’s iconic Gold Experience era, RJ aspires to continue the ground-breaking work of LGBTQ+ musicians before him, and then pass the baton to queer artists after him. Following the release of his irresistible self-love song and lively music video fat jeans, he returns with the premiere of his inclusive record boys+girls+inbetween.

With unapologetically alliterative lyricism like “Is it freak? Is it fashion?” and “It’s just my natural flair,” boys+girls+inbetween is a euphoric celebration of queer people, their extravagant fashion and their elaborate personalities.

An undeniably bold musical statement, this song begins and concludes with the click-clack of high heels, a quintessential shoe for, and fierce embodiment of, queer people. Extraordinary vocals and expressive harmonies complement the dazzling, infectious guitar riffs in this groovy reimagining of queerness.

Remember Jones shares:

This song has been instinctual for a while and comes from my experiences, through myself and standing beside people I love. I tend to write and live in a lot of gray area which can be challenging to put words and sounds to. I consider myself in the evolutionary process of discovering who I am from day to day and speaking about it is a space I belong in and, based on my experiences, one I continue to explore.

This is not just spectacular music, but it is pure performance art which will live on through the listeners who relate to every defiant lyric. This track invites those, who courageously refuse to conform to societal expectations and heteronormative gender roles, to live their utmost truth.
