DIRTY NICE Release Marvellous Debut Album ‘Lobster’
Similarly to the vibrant collage of cartoon characters in the album’s artwork, Lobster is a collection of vivid and optimistic tracks which evoke a sense of joy in the listener.

With key sonic influences such as Gorillaz, Superorganism, Dayglow and The Strokes, Dirty Nice are an alt-pop duo consisting of Charlie Pelling and Mark Thompson. Accumulating over 100k followers and millions of views on TikTok alone, through the success of their self-produced animated skits, Pelling and Thompson have established a notable following for themselves on this platform, as well as a dedicated community on Reddit. As well as garnering a loyal community of listeners, the distinctive duo have also caught the attention of industry tastemakers and magazines such as MTV, i-D, Wonderland, DORK Magazine and The Line of Best Fit, due to their authentic flair and creative genius. To truly emphasise the closeness and significance of the relationship between Dirty Nice and their fanbase, the duo even tasked their fans with titling their debut album.
Released via Chiverin, Lobster is the vibrantly-coloured and fan-titled debut album from alternative stars Dirty Nice. Featuring twelve tracks which invite you into their self-built, surrealist universe, Lobster blends hazy synths and soothingly warm melodies to create memorable and relatable tracks.
First track on the album, Paint Your Nails Blue is a dreamily upbeat number which playfully introduces this imaginative project. Acoustic guitars are accompanied by delightful percussive elements and warm vocal harmonies, as this splendid single builds to an irresistible chorus.
Dirty Nice’s sound is undeniably capturing the hearts of those who love whimsical and uplifting music.
