The band releases title track of their forthcoming fifth studio album, Everything Now, out in July.

Following up the 2013 stunner, Reflector, Arcade Fire finally lift the lid on their forthcoming release. With Everything Now soaring in the unusual dream trace the band is so acclaimed for.

The track is as Arcade Fire as it can get, with a timeless sense captured in the melody, whilst Win Butler’s well-known vocals utter lyrics that makes you cling to each word. The melody surprises with dingy piano chords and a cinematic feel of progress captured in the almost six minutes long track. The theme grasps on the contemporary, illustrating the overwhelming feel of modern life and the fast pace manufactured reality that we all gaze upon through our multiple screens. The lyrics seem to pierce through this, grasping for an organic moment, a human touch, a connection.

The new album is Arcade Fire’s first release under its new partnership with the global media and e-commerce platform Everything Now in synergy with the Sony corporation.

Arcade Fire’s next album, Everything Now, is due to be released July 28th.

Arcade Fire performed the song live for the first time at a surprise show in Barcelona on 1st June, ahead of their headline slot at Primavera Sound this Saturday, part of an extensive tour taking in headline shows and festivals across North America and Europe this summer.
