The band announces intimate one-off acoustic show at London’s Union Chapel in July.

“Live & Unpeeled” is the band’s first ever acoustic tour.

Cage The Elephant just confirmed details of their special show on 10th July at London’s Union Chapel which will be their only European acoustic show, in addition to the previously announced dates in Nottingham and Cardiff.

Guitarist Brad Shultz says:

After our recent acoustic performance at the Bridge School Benefit, we wanted to share this intimate experience with our fans and take it on the road.

Cage the Elephant will also release Unpeeled, their unplugged live album worldwide this summer. The album features eighteen curated songs from their past four albums as well as three interpretations of existing songs, performed live and stripped down and in some cases with a string quartet and a choir accompaniment.

Brad adds:

We connected with the songs in a way we hadn’t before. It was really all about the balance of the intimacy and the delicacy of how we approach playing these songs live acoustically and with strings as we hadn’t done before. We were very transparent, and we found the more honest you can be with yourself, the more honest you can be with everyone else.
