LIVE // WITH CONFIDENCE, Melbourne

The pop-punk rockers kick off their Aussie tour with a show in Melbourne.

With Confidence hit up Prince Bandroom in Melbourne on Thursday night, to start their tour around Australia with Seaway and WSTR. No pressure on Melbourne or anything but they had to make sure the vibes were on point to carry throughout AUS.

WSTR were the first cab off the ranks and the guys all the way from Liverpool brought all the enthusiasm, showing off their debut album, Red, Green or Inbetween, released back in January. And then Canadian band Seaway made sure that fury continued to amount showing off their upcoming album Vacation, out in September.

As guitars were tuned and mics were tested, you could feel the excitement in the air build as the high pitched screams got louder and assembled in choir a like form. As With Con appeared out of the darkness, the crowd greeted them in a similar fashion and pumped them up even more. The band started the set with Voldemort to much pleasure of the patrons, bringing to life their pop-punk magic.

Proceeding with infectious tracks off their debut album Better Weather, Dinner Bell and anthem Arches, the catchiness made everyone easily transport into a mode of jumping around uncontrollably. At this point their strong presence and connection with the audience was felt throughout the intimate venue.

Vocalist and bassist Jayden Seeley addressed the fact that he wasn’t playing bass due to a fractured hand, throwing their manager in to play the rest of their Austalian shows. Only allowing Seeley to jump around the stage which made the show harder to look away from and completely in awe. Drummer Joshua Brozzesi working hard at the back with his cheeky grin and guitarist Luke Rockets in fine form as usual, accompanied by the fellow guitarist Inigo Del Carmen hustling as bigger than ever. They all defiantly were pumped to start off their Australian tour in style.

Continuing to build the mosh’s soaring spirit, the Sydney lads setup We’ll Be Okay, Keys & Long Night with the crowd singing/yelling along to every word. The guitars were vivacious and surging throughout every verse and chorus which I wouldn’t notice until leaving the venue, would leave my ears ringing for the rest of the night.

They finished the night off with three rippers, Godzilla, London Lights and Keeper which was the icing on the multilayered cake of madness. These youngins know how to perform and create an epic set and Thursday night was a true testament of that. Their ability to deliver thrilling and monumental show also is a credit to their loyal and exploding fan base, and it was good to see that they can come back home after travelling every corner of the globe and still smash it.
