In light of the recent Mercury Prize, Loyle Carner unveils some beautiful visuals for his single Sun Of Jean Ft. Mum & Dad.

Making the tune into family affair featuring piano and vocal samples from his late father and spoken word from his Mum, Carner toys with our feelings even without the visuals. The raw emotions and charismatic lyrics combined with the simplistic yet striking melody makes a powerful statement, and the video certainly takes this one step further.

Featuring Carner and seven of his close friends celebrate their mums in a beautiful yet honest way, the video definitely underlines the message of the song. Seeing the 22-year-old in such a role of compassion is endearing, and with heaps of potential still blooming, we better keep watching this one. Over all, the video is a touching and intimate experience, underlining something really important.
