THE FAIM Reveal Visuals for ‘Summer Is A Curse’

It’s a summer anthem you simply need on your playlist this season.

Already a live favourite, Summer Is A Curse has finally got a visual accompaniment.

With a gripping and intense narrative that portrays frontman Josh Raven and his love interest on the run from the law, the video perfectly mirrors the concept of freedom captured in the song. Oscillating between the scenes of the band’s passionate live performance, with the Welsh countryside as a fitting backdrop, the events escalate very quickly and eventually it all goes up in flames.

Co-written with 5 Seconds Of Summer’s Ashton Irwin, the track follows The Faim‘s previous singles Saints Of The Sinners and Midland Line which collectively have amassed over 1.6 million streams to date.

Singer Josh Raven explains:

‘Summer Is A Curse’ is about taking the leap into a make or break situation that could grow into the beginning of a new era, or cause the end of what could’ve been. It’s about the paths that we take, the dreams that we have, and the things we leave behind to reach them.

It is a reflection of our journey as a band. Being placed out of Australia and in LA for the first time as a band, we got thrown into this whole new world of exciting experiences and pressures. As frightening as it was, and no matter our feelings at home, it became this tunnel vision of realising that we had this chance to make our dreams a reality. Our music video reflecting that exact same feeling of freedom was so important for us.

The band is set to return to the UK and Europe later in the Summer for tours with Waterparks and Sum 41 and then Reading & Leeds Festivals.
