THE FAIM Share Rousing New Single ‘Amelie’
Bringing in their flair for the dramatics, the newest single from The Faim is one of their most intense tracks yet.

Australian pop-rockers The Faim have been predicted for huge success, and looking at their journey so far and the release of newest track Amelie, it’s quite safe to say that this estimated upward trajectory may actually take off further than initially thought. Previously drawing comparisons to Panic! At The Disco, Amelie appears to push this even more with its theatric flourishes and melodramatic character.
Bringing in dramatic choral harmonies right from the beginning, it’s a thrilling twist and turn through exonerating drums, a dainty bridge backed by tinkering keys, and the most explosive and feral of choruses we’ve seen from the band so far. Between timpani rolls, soaring vocals, there’s a real sense of claustrophobia when vocalist Josh Ravens sings ‘nowhere to run, nowhere to hide’ as the drums pound into you. A gripping listen from start to finish, the visuals to accompany the track are equally enthralling as it follows the band across their recent headline tour, which included a sold out show at London’s The Garage.
Josh explains:
The concept behind Amelie draws on the idea that everyone is born the same, but we become the people we are due to the influence of our surroundings. These influences can affect us both positively and negatively, but only we control the way we react to them.
Catch the band on their upcoming live dates.
