PVRIS Unveil Captivating New Video for ‘Monster’
The band gives us a first visual glimpse of the new era with the music video for Monster.

Alt-rockers PVRIS have been building up to this new era for a while; having wiped their old social media profiles, left a string of cryptic messages and teasing fans with processed audio, the curtain was lifted when they shared their synth-driven new single Monster. It came as a force to be reckoned with, and no one was quite ready for the sheer immensity of what was to come despite the forewarnings and signs that this was going to be nothing like anything the band has ever done.
As we continue to reel from the punchiness of the melody and the potency of the underlying core emotions, we’re shaken from complacency yet again as the band shares the accompanying video for the track. The brooding darkness of the track and the explosive chorus gets transformed into a mob of morphing and twisting limbs around singer Lynn Gunn, who gets pulled into the heart of the action. Alternating between different close-up angles and wider shots, the visceral rawness of the track gets captured in the dynamic video and you will not be able to resist the adrenaline that rushes through you as you continue to be mesmerised.
Sharing more about what gives the track such an urgency and volatile character, Lynn explains:
‘Monster’ is a song about reckoning with outside opinions and expectations put upon oneself. It can be easy to take on the weight of negative situations/opinions, this is about the struggle of releasing those inhibitions and internalizations and returning back to yourself.
