We didn’t have to wait long for the new music from this Las Vegas four-piece. No, not at all. It’s rather soon, don’t you reckon? Their second album Smoke & Mirrors was released only in February and they just unveiled the new track.

The new single Roots had its premiere yesterday on KROQ LA but it wasn’t that usual. Preceded by quite amazing social media campaign the band decided to dedicate the song to their fanbase. Just a couple of days earlier Imagine Dragons began to tease a bit and started posting pictures of themselves when they were younger. Then the fans joined in. Submitting all the photographs, kept in the theme My Roots, they created this awesome art collage which you can see below.

I must say it’s always marvelous when a band makes an effort and engage with their fans (however, I don’t like this word – a fan. I’ll explain another time. It’s a long story. Very long story. The simple one, though). But yes, I appreciate and admire the intention for doing something cool and giving them a place to belong. So they feel like being a part of something bigger.
