TODD DORIGO shares new single Backdrop To Boredom.

From a small town to the hustle and bustle of a big city, with a debut EP in the works, Todd Dorigo emerges on the music scene with his first official release Backdrop To Boredom.

The guitar-driven track serves well-crafted catchy rhythms, which accompanied by fierce baritone easily spread out the musician’s young charm having added a little bit of old school glam. One of those tunes that make you stop for a sec and ask “Oh wait, who is this guy?”.

The song was written at a time when I left my home town up north for London – Todd Dorigo explains. Middlewich wasn’t exactly the melting pot of creativity and I had been playing in Manchester and Liverpool for years cutting my teeth. Everyone seemed to be on the well-trodden path to stability, and I wasn’t really interested.

Chasing my passion for music seemed like two-fingers up to my education and to any well-intended guidance I’d ever received – he adds. At the time, I think I was so desperate to shake things up and make things happen that the thought of comfort frustrated me as it suggested a lack of movement or progression.

What’s more, the song soundtracks the new Burberry campaign launching this month, in which the artist also features.
