CLAY New Music Video // “6AM”
CLAY release music video for new single 6AM.
If you are an early bird then this next track is the one for you. If not, then spin it anyway because it surely will get you up on your feet.
The Leeds four-piece has unveiled new clip for the song 6AM. Following their debut EP Heaven (July 2016), the track serves another dose of catchy hooks and boastful synths, which however appear as a contradiction to the actual feeling we may experience at 6 in the morning (unless you’re still somewhere at the after-party).
The sequences of pompous melodies with an electro-pop twist are what define Clay‘s songs and the latest release continues to do so, yet it seems that the guys have found themselves in a slightly reinvented landscape of sounds. As the band explains:
“6AM” is our finest moment yet we feel. Musically, it does things that we’ve never done before. It’s very representative of where we are currently. Lyrically, the track is perhaps a little more ambiguous than it initially seems, its about giving everything to something that you truly believe in and not necessarily having that emotional investment reciprocated. After all, it’s often at these ungodly hours that the most complex matters seem to become so clear.
