POND unveil new song 30000 MEGATONS.

In these dark times for humanity, Pond are here to save the day as it “seems like the right time” to release their new track 30000 MEGATONS.

Featuring Team Impala member Jay Watson and former bassist Nicolas Allbrook, Pond are quite the psych dream team. The recently released track was originally intended to feature on their follow up album from 2015’s, Man It Feels Like Space Again, which, still untitled, is expected in early 2017.

30000 MEGATONS is a synth heavy psyche daze, definitely a very needed escapism. The vocal track goes soaring over the deeper, darker synths, all comes together in a hyperbolic crescendo of collapsing noise. It is a towering and yet chaotic tune, giving great promise of the album to come. And yes, Pond, this is what we need right now. This is definitely ‘the right time’.

Pond have also gotten Mr. Tame Impala himself, Kevin Parker, along as producer. Parker, who actually used to be in the band has been working as their eminent recording producer lately. Looking away from the incest of the Aussie psyche scene for a second, Parker and Pond have already released Sweep Me Off My Feet from the next album, making a promising first single, of what is already a very anticipated album.
