THE PIGEON DETECTIVES Release ‘Enemy Lines’ Video

Indie favourites return with a new single, new album and a bunch of live dates.

It seems like ages since we last heard from this Leeds five-piece. Four years to be precise, that’s how long it’s been since their last album We Met At Sea was released into the world. Luckily for us, The Pigeon Detectives are back and ready to present new material we’ve eagerly been waiting for.

The band’s forthcoming fifth studio album Broken Glances, to be released in February, is a somewhat Thank You letter to their fans as frontman Matt Bowman comments:

On this album we felt we owed it to [our fans] to deliver something real that documents the journey we’ve all been on together. If you listen hard enough and take some time over the record, you’ll realise it’s an ode to everyone that’s ever bought an album or turned up to a show.

The Pigeon Detectives have just shared new cut, Enemy Lines, which shows more gentle approach comparing to their vigorous offering Lose Control. However, that might be just an illusion. Black and white visuals bring all the emotions along as they accompany the track.

Built on determined drum work the forceful chorus is surely a pace changer from the low-beat opening lines. Thanks to the carefully pulled guitar strings, honest lyrical delivery and more in depth vocal effort Enemy Lines falls as a truly intriguing tune from the indie quintet, and we can’t wait to hear more.

It looks like Broken Glances is going to be vital in its diversity and there might be a few surprises yet to be revealed. As for now, watch the new clip below.

Broken Glances is due for release on February 24th via Dance to the Radio Ltd.
