OVERCOATS from across the pond have released a new track, Hold Me Close.

This New York-based female duo comprised of Hana Elion and JJ Mitchell have defiantly brighten my wintery day with this ripper.

After the release of their debut self titled EP in 2015, Overcoats are back with some exciting new tunes. Hold Me Close is simply a taste of what’s to come.

The track is quite an intriguing instalment. When folk meets electronic it is just what you need at this time of year. A little bit of warmth and sense of calm with a bit of a kick. Along with the duo’s vocal arrangements it is just heavenly.

With a whole mixture of influences that can be heard in this song alone it pairs oh so well with the power they hold in their vocal range, and is something to be jealous of. The track takes off and amounts into a direction that I didn’t know folk vocals could go.

Overcoats‘ debut album is due for release in Spring via Arts and Crafts.

Hitting up SXSW in March along with everyone else to watch and hear out for, then taking off around the US for a tour. Nothing planned for the UK as yet but I’m sure they won’t be able to resist pleasing us with their presence for too long. Keep your ears pealed for more music soon, it isn’t too far away.
