The Brighton bunch are back at it, and we’re excited as always.

How Can I Compete is taken from an EP promised to be released sometime in April. This will be the band’s first release on Yala! Records.

The punchy track is stacked with the characteristics we’ve come to love with The Magic Gang, including a great sing-along chorus and funky guitar bridges. The lyric hits a soft spot for any hopeless romantic and How Can I Compete definitely has us melted with the lines like: “I just want to know that you’ll be in my arms”.

The track is certainly a step forward production-wise for The Magic Gang. Whilst keeping their distinctive sound intact, new offering captures that spark the band delivers live better than any previous tracks before.
