Brilliant new track from Irish electro-pop artist.

New track Halfway is to be taken from singer’s fortcoming EP under the same title, due out later this year.

Through her mystical wonderland soundscape, Laoise introduces us to her alternate universe of hazy tunes and soaring vocal constructions.

The Irish electro-pop artist hails from Galway, her first single YOU gaining her recognition in the music press. Laoise‘s dazzling melody slowly builds into a concoction of spacious pop-esque dimensions, underlined with an R&B rhythm. The femininity captured within her melodies evokes a certain charm. The escalation off the tune, from the simplistic measures of the fairy tale beginning into the pace-changing, sparkly final, feels like both interestingly dual, though slightly mismatched.

She says:

I wrote ‘Halfway’ about two years ago during a time when I wasn’t paying attention to my own needs and health, and I compromised my happiness for other people and their excessive expectations. Writing ‘Halfway’ was my way of pushing past this. It stands as a very important stage in my life and even though, in a way, I’m scared as fuck to release it, I’m so grateful that I can share it with people..
