FIRST HATE Unveil Swooning Pop Ode to ‘COPENHAGEN’

The Danish duo First Hate releases a dreaming teaser from their forthcoming debut, A Prayer For The Unemployed

Copenhagen in many ways reflects the Danish metropolis through its modern production and compelling grounding nature. The dazing synths and abstract vocals collide in a vibrant and hypnotic pattern, capturing the listener in Copenhagen’s openness.

The gazing reflection upon modern city life and the dreamy haze that captures so many under ever-present fluorescent lights is something that’s increasingly seized in music. Though the affection and compassion for urban surrounding is predominant, there is a slight sense of melancholia imbedded in the sonics of the melody. Maybe it’s the simplicity bringing forth a certain loneliness.

Anton Falck Gangsted says:

When we produced and wrote the song we had a movie scene going on in our heads. Glitches of nightlife and city boredom. A lonely movie scene. I always find myself being most at home when the morning calls and I detour home through the empty city. Leaving behind some crowded bar, or flat with other drugged up strangers trying to make the night last forever. Why did I stay this long?

First Hate’s debut album A Prayer For The Unemployed is out May 12th via Echo.
