DIET CIG Unveil Contemporary Single ‘Link in Bio’
Diet Cig share another cut from their forthcoming debut Swear I’m Good At This.

The New York duo’s anticipated album, Swear I’m Good At This, is right around the corner, and the band gives us another sneak peek on what to expect.
The shoegazy track, Link In Bio is a humorous take on the generation Z culture of self-exposure. With Alex Luciano’s delicate vocals contrasting the rougher edges within the sonic of the tune, and the staggering percussion hammering through the messages of their songs, Diet Cig hit right where you feel it. Sticking a middle finger to the traditional degrading perception of women and voicing some very real issues, Swear I’m Good At This is an album very much needed in 2017.
Vocalist Alex Luciano notes:
‘Link In Bio’ unpacks this idea that women + femmes should be any specific way and says uh NO. It’s an extra special fuck you to the notion of a ‘chill girl’ that I swear was created by cis men to make women + femmes feel bad about voicing their feelings. It’s me screaming that it’s okay to be loud and bossy and sensitive and kind and weird and angry and ecstatic and literally any other emotion that you feel because YOU ARE A RADIANT AND NUANCED HUMAN BEING WHO IS GOING TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD <3.
Swear I’m Good At This is out April 7th through Frenchkiss Records.
