Cali-based trio shares dreamy new cut, The Breakup, off their upcoming debut album.

The Nashville-via-NYC-via-LA trio releases new track, The Breakup, taken from their self-titled debut full-length, out in June.

LANY have you covered when it comes to love. With their danceable new tune, the band delivers another reason why their forthcoming record will perfectly soundtrack the upcoming sunny days. The summer is almost here and the heartbreak has never felt so good.

From the very beginning The Breakup shines with its sparkly guitars and shimmering synths-drums composition. The lyrical content however, brings along a tinge of pain and nostalgia, but thanks to Klein’s warm dreamy vocals it all doesn’t sound so bad. The blissful melodies create a summery haze that will make any breakup quite bearable. “Love sucks sometimes”, well there’s no revelation in that, but captured we keep pressing that replay button oh so passionately.

Vocalist Paul Klein explains:

“the breakup” is the 3rd new track we’ve released from our debut album that’s scheduled to release june 30th, and i think it plays a massively important role in our arsenal of songs. i just went thru the notes on my phone to figure out when i finished the lyrics… april 13, 2016. i remember exactly where i was… malibu, sitting outside on the steps leading up to the house. there was this really chilly breeze, but the sun felt so hot on my back. i have no clue why my recollection of this is so vivid, but i do know that i felt an enormous weight lifted once i penned the words… this coming face-to-face with my flawed propensities but justified confusion in the pursuit of love… momentarily setting me free.

i hope it means something to you. i hope you dance to it. i hope you cry to it. maybe you can dance and cry to it at the same time. maybe it’ll make you feel free… even for just a moment.
