TWIN PEAKS Announce ‘Sweet ’17’ Series

The band unveils new single from the series, first A-Side, Tossing Tears.

Chicago’s ambassadors for reckless fun aka Twin Peaks have announced details of the Sweet ‘17 Singles series, an extremely limited, subscriber-only monthly 7” vinyl release for six months.

The vinyl releases will run from July to December, with the final mailed record compiling all the releases onto one 12” long-player. Only 300 fans, those subscribers who have signed-up via Twin Peaks’ website, will receive the releases. But not to worry, all tracks will also hit streaming services.

To accompany this exciting news, Twin Peaks share brand new track, Tossing Tears, first new music since their 2016’s third studio album, Down in Heaven.

With a tinge of subtle rawness, Tossing Tears thrive on melodic vocal harmonies, so typical for the band, complimenting the guitar-laden structure. Taking on the gentle approach, but with an emotive lyrical depth, Twin Peaks yet again deliver instant catchy hooks. Listen to the track below.

Cadien Lake James says of the series:

Sweet ’17 is a singles series we’ll be releasing from next month through to the end of the year. Given our demanding touring schedule, we figured a good way to release new music without having to carve out the time to record a full length LP between tours would be to track whenever we could find the time, and release the music in a series of 7″ records. This structure also allowed us the opportunity to experiment without a focus on creating a cohesive body of work. Today we’re excited to share the first single “Tossing Tears,” featuring Ohmme (Macie Stewart and Sima Cunningham) on background vocals and Macie also tackling the strings. Much more to come…
