SPINN Release New Single ‘Notice Me’
Liverpool indie pop outfit SPINN has released a refreshing new single Notice Me, building off of the success and hype received from Home.
SPINN‘s upbeat new single originated as a project to gain the attention of local BBC Introducing host Dave Monks. Although these beginnings targeted radio play, the band has stumbled upon a subject matter that is extremely relatable. Expertly disguised as a floating pop jam, the lyrics are actually much deeper.
Lead singer Jonny Quinn comments on the track:
‘Notice Me’ started out as a way to get some radio play. We used to say it was a homage to BBC Radio Merseyside because when we wrote it we couldn’t get any radio play, and wanted to be noticed by them. The lyrics are a bit more meaningful, it’s essentially us trying to portray the concept of Hero Worship in a pop song.
The catchy tune is an instant summer hit, effortlessly blending Quinn’s simple and uncomplicated vocals with bouncy, sharp guitar.
