WEIRDS Drop Video for ‘Old World Blues’

Leeds outfit is set to join DZ Deathrays on UK tour this month.

Explosive new track and video for their latest single Old World Blues, the guys from Weirds are not messing around.

Weirds give us massive heavy guitars and rolling manic drums that keep the heart racing. With their debut album Swarmculture, released earlier this year, they present this short and sweet ripper, Old World Blues.

Vocalist Aidan Razzall explains:

Lyrically, ‘Old World Blues’ is quite claustrophobic, and I really wanted to get a sense of entrapment and anger across. The title was a phrase that had been kicking around in discussion for a while, and just stuck – it became the perfect banner for the slouching, drunken feel of the track. We’re also big fans of expansive, totemic titles and ‘Old World Blues’ felt like the title of some kind of psychedelic spaghetti-Western film, and we just felt that it worked.

As they’re about to hit the road with the Aussie crew, DZ Deathrays for the rest of the month, Weirds will come back to London at the end of October for one last show of the year.
