THE MAINE Release Video for ‘How Do You Feel?’

The Phoenix-based quintet unveils visuals for new single How Do You Feel?, off of their recent album Lovely Little Lonely.

How Do You Feel?, the closing track of the band’s latest record, Lovely Little Lonely, released earlier this year, has finally got stunning visuals to match.

Rose-infused, with white & red aesthetics, the clip compliments the song in the most elegant manner. Portraying the band in a live setting, it fully focuses on the significance of the track itself. “Are you complete or is something missing?”, the straightforward and relatable lyrics shine while we dive into trippy and retro-esque post-production effects.

Vocalist John O’Callaghan explains:

They ask you what you want, and tell you what you need. Tell you what you’re missing out on or how you can be better. Sell you smiles and sunshine or steal your sadness with a pill. But before you listen to anything else they say, answer me this, how do you feel?

This video was inspired by both The Beatles on Ed Sullivan and The Animals video for House Of The Rising Son. Simplicity and aesthetic in mind, but really placing the focus on the track. The weirdo 8mm vibe and trippy edits were all an homage to the early psych movement, and for me helped make the performance aspect of the video more interesting visually. Hyped on the way it all came out!

The Maine are set to embark on “Modern Nostalgia” tour, where they’ll be playing Lovely Little Lonely and American Candy in full each night. Dates below:
