Habit is the new track from Tel Aviv post-punk quartet Document, and it surely gets hearts and heads racing.

Habit feels fresh and nostalgic at the same time, the best of both worlds. With gritty guitars to start we launch into racing drums. It’s manic flow is perfect for the subject of the song.

Vocalist Ben Jacob elaborates:

It’s semi-autobiographical, describing moves to different continents and having nowhere to belong. It explores the idea that people are who they are because of where they are born and where they have lived. How do you define yourself if you’ve moved between cultures? In the US you are literally labelled an ‘alien’. You feel isolated, you spend time alone, becoming a habit to yourself..

Habit it’s the third taster coming from Document‘s forthcoming debut album, The Void Repeats. No London shows just yet but hopefully will come over our way sooner rather than later.
