ST. VINCENT Debuts Surreal Video for ‘Los Ageless’
Lashing out against youth-obsessed celebrity culture, St. Vincent unveils thought provoking visuals for pop-banger Los Ageless.
The single is yet another glimpse into her sixth album, MASSEDUCTION, which is due later this month. With a savvy synth track, extensive instrumentation and a punctuating beat, the track is as much of a pleasure as it’s an important and satirical take on age, beauty and entertainment culture. Basically all things that are slightly off in our over-saturated modern society.
The video takes the message one step further with St. Vincent appearing in caricature settings of plastic surgery, colourful beauty salons amongst other surreal, fantasy-like scenarios.
Speaking of the record, St. Vincent aka Annie Clark has stated that:
Every record I make has an archetype. Strange Mercy was Housewives on Pills. St Vincent was Near-Future Cult Leader. MASSEDUCTION is different, it’s pretty first person. You can’t fact-check it, but if you want to know about my life, listen to this record.
MASSEDUCTION due out on the 13th October via Loma Vista/Caroline International.
