IMITATING AEROPLANES Unbox Apocalyptic Visuals for ‘Stomping Ground’
The Norwegian supergroup recently released their immense Planet Language, and now they follow up the debut with an otherworldly video.

Bursting with synth hooks and a bombastic chorus, Stomping Ground stands strong in it’s own right, though the visuals do add a sense of mystery to the more grounding chords.
Drawing links to both Stranger Things and ET, the video features the band members riding around Oslo before discovering a different, far more ethereal and abstract world. Reinforcing the literal lyric of “losing my foothold, leaving my stomping ground” the group does indeed leave their familiar stomping ground for something more mysterious.
Director Anna Leijonhielm said:
The music video is about three humans being awakened by a fireball from their deep sleep in a world full of things just happening. As a creature leads them into a different space, the fear is short-lived as they dare to follow her. Will their eyes be closed or open?
Stomping Ground is taken from Imitating Aeroplanes’ debut album Planet Language, out now via Propeller Recordings.
