Franz Ferdinand, Tame Impala, Glass Animals & More Announced for Mad Cool Festival 2018
Madrid’s Mad Cool adds 31 new acts to their already incredible 2018 line-up.
After the much-anticipated announcement of headliners Pearl Jam, Mad Cool has confirmed another massive wave of new names for their next year’s edition.
Amongst huge international artists you can find Aussie psych favourites Tame Impala, who will return to Madrid five years after their last visit to the city, the Scots Franz Ferdinand and Alice in Chains.
The outpour of confirmed bands include world renowned indie bands such as the Grammy-nominated Brtis Glass Animals and the North Americans Portugal The Man. Porches have also joined the line-up, along Frankie Cosmos, who will play their first ever show in Spain.
The line-up also includes national acts such as Maga, Agoraphobia and Spanish– speaking rap artist Kase.O amongst many others, and a wide variety of electronic music.
Rock n’ roll will continue to stand tall at Mad Cool 2018 with FIDLAR, Rival Sons the Icelandic Kaleo, The Last Internationale, the indie rock singer LP and the Australian group Gang of Youth.
These acts are joining already star-studded bill including Kasabian, Snow Patrol, Queens Of The Stone Age, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Massive Attack, At The Drive-In and more.
The festival’s third edition will take place on 12-14 July 2018. With the help and support of Madrid City Council the festival will move from Caja Magica to a new location in the North of the city.
