THYLA Share New Tune ‘I Was Biting’

Brighton’s emerging indie group Thyla has released a sprawling new single I Was Biting, building off of their already impressive 2018 buzz.

Having just finished their first UK tour supporting INHEAVEN Thyla has been spotlighted alongside Pale Waves, Nilüfer Yanya and Sorry in NME’s 100 Essential Acts for 2018.

Frontwoman Millie Duthie’s elevated vocals are paired with furious guitar-work and a powerful rhythm in the new tune. When discussing the single, the quartet said:

‘I Was Biting’ is about dystopian aspects of modern society and a discontent for it. We talk about a unanimous feeling of anxiety and a desire to live in a fictional state of our own dreams; to escape from the mundane routine and expectations of society.

With a mastery of production from Mack Faulkron and mixing from Alex Newport (At The Drive-In, The Mars Volta, Weaves), I Was Biting is a clean, energetic output from this budding group.

Thyla will play their debut London headline show at Sebright Arms on 14th March.
