GRDNS Share Psych-Tinged Track ‘Juniper’

Psych-rockers GRDNS have shared their newest single Juniper.

Emerging from the multi-cultural northern city, Bradford newcomers release brilliant tune Juniper, a follow-up to their woozy yet gritty rock number Night Dance.

Heading to the studio, the indie quartet are set about nailing their fusion of heavenly psychedelia and Northern chime to present an EP later this year.

Their latest single Juniper manages this effortlessly, taking the surf sound route with a prog/alt attitude. Soaring and cosmic, the reverb-filled harmonies and killer guitar pierces through this trippy track. It is a real gem. One which is heavily influenced and can be compared to the likes of Tame Impala and early Arctic Monkeys.

Frontman Jacob Lyons stated:

‘Juniper’ takes influence from both the modern and vintage surf sounds with a prog/alt section at the end but doesn’t particularly sound like either. It was the first song we got together as a full band and the lyrics frequently reference the colour blue and a few of its colour palette relatives. The meaning of the song is open to interpretation, like all the rest will be.
