HEIN COOPER Returns with New Single ‘Hear My Voice’

Sydney based singer-songwriter Hein Cooper embarks on the path of self-discovery on his new single Hear My Voice.

When confronting reality, music very often seems like the best way to reach catharsis.

On Hear My Voice Hein Cooper challenges the self-constructed fantasy world he’s built for himself. With a guitar-led core and heartwarming vocals, the track subtly channels the hidden lyrical meaning. Exploring dialogue with himself, he gives the narrative a poetic and melodic wrapping.

Co-produced by Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran, James Hersey), Hear My Voice was written in the UK during Hein Cooper’s recent six-month stay living in Cornwall.

Hein explains:

This song is about my experiences with falsehood, of hiding behind a version of myself that I’ve built up in a fantasy influenced by all the information thrown at us in 2018. It’s a conversation that I’m having with myself, basically saying: “Are you in there? Coz the guy answering the door is an arsehole and there’s gotta be someone else I can talk too!”

Since the release of his debut album The Art of Escape back in late 2016, Cooper has amassed over 15 million streams on Spotify and has taken his live talents around the world, performing in over 140 shows throughout America, Europe and the UK, including tour supports with James Bay and Lukas Graham.
