BURY TOMORROW Unleash New Single ‘The Age’
The metalcore giants have pushed at a more melodic sound in their latest single, The Age.
Bury Tomorrow have long since established themselves as one of the leading figures in the metalcore scene, and their new single The Age only acts to cement that title. The third track lifted from their highly anticipated fifth album Black Flame, it’s more melodic than the previous singles but the intensity is certainly maintained.
Opening with a cathartic guitar line, layers of guitars build up to culminate into a wall of indistinguishable instrumentals. As the drums and bass join in, the driving energy of the two combine to work as a grounding motor that propels the track forward. The brute force of Daniel Winter-Bates’ screams in the verses contrast with his soaring clean vocals in the chorus, a plea of sorts as every emotion behind the lyrics is enunciated.
Speaking about the track, the band says:
‘The Age’ is pushing the boundaries of our melodic side. We wanted to make a driving powerful song. Lyrically it draws from the reflections of how destructive the human race is – it would be better to burn it all and start over because no body has listened to the warning signs. The message and meaning is juxtaposed from the sonic melodic elements.
Black Flame due out July 13th on Music For Nations.
The band is also set to head out on UK tour this December.
