PHOXJAW Share Video for New Single ‘Lottery’
Warm your necks up for some headbanging, because you’ll be doing a lot of it to the newest Phoxjaw single Lottery.
Bristol based quartet Phoxjaw share a further taste of their upcoming debut EP, Goodbye Dinosaur, which is set to be release on November 16th. Newest single Lottery will tear through with its blistering riffs and obliterating energy, like an unstoppable force of nature.
As the opening guitars rip into you, it’s an exhilarating rush of energy as a whirlwind of guitars, bass and drums combine to create a roar. Danny Garland’s vocals pierce over the top, tinged with a rough grit that communicates the energy of the track clearly. A melodic chorus soars over the low-tuned instrumentals, creating a short-lived moment of serenity as it fades away before you’re hurtled at break-neck speed back into the raw intensity of the opening riff. Shifting gears after the second chorus, the slower tempo allows a solitary guitar to ominously creep in, before full instrumentals join in for a breath-taking ending.
The black and white visuals perfectly encapsulate the ferocious energy of the track, as we see the band performing inside a boxing ring. Rapid scene changes and dynamic camera work captures every emotion, every headbang and is indicative of the quartet’s fast-paced live shows.
Phoxjaw will tour in support of Pagan in November, concluding the run with three headline shows. Catch them on the following live dates.
